Railway Telecommunications Congress 2026

  • 23 February 2026
  • Arche Hotel Puławska Residence in Warsaw (Puławska Street 361)

Description

Dear Sir or Madam,
We invite you to participate in a new event in the railway sector – the RAILWAY TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONGRESS – a conference dedicated to modern solutions in key railway telecommunication systems: railway traffic control systems (SRK), dynamic passenger information systems (SDiP), railway communication systems (SLK), and video surveillance systems (SMW).

THE CHALLENGES OF DIGITALIZATION AND DIRECTIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENT IN IT NETWORKS FOR RAILWAYS.

All systems supporting railways rely on an IT network platform dedicated to the rail sector. Therefore, we will begin with an analysis and discussion of how an optimal IT network platform for Polish railways should be built. Today, we are dealing with a conglomerate of different networks owned by various operators. We will consider how to integrate them into one platform, what the logical and physical models of such a network should look like. We will analyze the current state of the network and the investment and development plans of PKP PLK and the PKP Group in this area.

CERTIFICATION AND REGULATORY-LEGAL CONDITIONS OF RAILWAY TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS.

We will analyze the certification and regulatory-legal framework governing the functioning of the railway telecommunication market. In the coming years, new European legal regulations – the NIS-2 Directive and the Cyber Resilience Act – will come into force, imposing numerous new cybersecurity and resilience obligations on both manufacturers and suppliers of solutions, as well as on carriers and infrastructure managers. We will also examine national regulations concerning the acquisition of certificates and permits for equipment to operate on the Polish railway network.

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS IN RAILWAY TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS.

In the next part of the conference, representatives of renowned manufacturers of railway traffic control systems will present the latest solutions and technologies in the field of SRK systems.

NEW IPI-6 GUIDELINES, INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS, AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN PASSENGER INFORMATION SYSTEMS.

The new PKP PLK IPI-6 guidelines introduced many new technological requirements for existing devices, new configurations and quantities of equipment installed on platforms, preferences for LED technology, and new ePaper devices to be used at lower-category stations. We will explore how leading manufacturers have adapted their product portfolios to these new requirements and what challenges this has entailed.

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN RAILWAY COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS.

In September this year, a long-awaited operational field test of the GSM-R communication system began on railway line no. 9 (Warsaw–Gdańsk). We will look at the first conclusions and operational experiences with the GSM-R system. While awaiting the development of infrastructure and implementation of the new system, the Polish railway network must continue to use existing digital and analog communication systems. Leading SLK solution providers will present new technologies and solutions in wired communication (announcement; signalman; station and traffic communication) and wireless communication (train; shunting; area).

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS.

New IoT and AI technologies and solutions enable the implementation of new services based on video surveillance systems. We will discuss PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) solutions, passenger flow management, and new services based on data analysis from SMW systems.

We cordially invite you to participate in the conference.
